IRF-PAI vs. UB04 Coding: Closing the Communication Gap

This new coding workshop is presented by a medical record coder (an independent contractor of UDSMR) with the intent of closing the gap between coding for the IRF-PAI and coding for the bill. Emphasis is placed on the importance of developing a line of communication between the rehabilitation department and the medical records department to ensure that both documents represent each case appropriately.
The session has been approved for 5.5 nursing contact hours by ARN, which is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This workshop also has been approved for 0.55 continuing education units by AOTA and for 6.0 continuing education units for use in fulfilling the continuing education requirements of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
The training is sponsored by PARF and the Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation.
